About the British Pound Sterling?
So this might seem stupid but I'd be glad if anyone could help me.
So i'm going to London next December and I have some British pounds and coins but I'm not sure if they are still in use since I've heard that some bank notes have changed...
the notes are £10 with the queen on the front and Charles Dickens and some cricket match thing at the back. i think the new ones have Charles Darwin?
and the coins are one pound coins with the queen at the back and some coat of arms in the front. i also have one with some plant on the front too
soooo i can still pay with those right?
thanks :)

To simplify it, £5 notes are the smallest and are green, then there are £10 notes which are orange, then £20 notes ae purple, they all have the queens head on the one side and some old famous person on the other, the £10 note seems to bean old one as they have been orange for a long time, the £20 have always been purple and they introduced a new style as well last year.
The pound coins will be the same as they have been like that as long as I have been alive, they will all have the queens head on, but the fronts vary depending on when they were printed, all are valid.
A word of advice when changing your money thoug is to avoid getting £50 notes as they aren't really used that much and whenever I have one and try to spend it, shopkeepers in smaller places either dont take them or are wary of them, so best to keeping £20 as the largest notes.

yes you can ... the pound coin and £10 note have not changed for a few years now and so the ones you have by the description are the current ones
the only recent change we have had is the £20 note, but even the older style note is still accepted and in circulation
