Help. While changing my AC Filter, the duct sucked up the plastic packaging the filter was in. ?

I have NEVER had this happen and am not sure about what to do. I am handy woman and commonly fix my own stuff, but this is new. Any Ideas!

Update:

DUH! Yes I know I should have had it off. *&^^% happens. Anyway, I just need to know how to fix it.

    You need to get that out. It should have been turned off at the time.

    The plastic packaging, is probably caught in the cooling coils, or it will come to one of the vents. Get a set of mechanics fingers, and access the coils that should give you a way to retrieve the packing. Next time, turn it off first.

    Probably all tangled up in the blower.
