10 points! please! In period 1, what group or family of elements has the largest atomic radius?

In period 1, what group or family of elements has the largest atomic radius?

i don't see how there can be a group or family in 2 elements.

i just started this so maybe you can help.

one other question:

in period 3, what group or family has the lowest first ionization energy?

Update:

To Superfly- i'm not looking for the element, i'm looking for the group or family of elements.

Atomic Radius Increases as you go down & Decreases as you go across

Ionization Energy Increases as you go across & Decreases as you go down

    Question #1 Hydrogen (H)

    Question #2 Sodium (Na)

Period 1, would be alkali metals with largest radius.

Period 3, lowest ionization energy would be Alkali metals too.

Hint for future: Going down a periodic table the radius increases.

Going across a periodic table ->, the radius increases

The ionization energy, generally speaking, increases from left to right and decreases going top to bottom.
