How can a person know if the"forwarding email" which happens to be political, if it is true or not?
Just received an email about Obama not saluting the flag and giving his reasons for it....just want to know how a person can tell if it is true or if it is a ploy on the "other side" to smear his character? Has anyone else received this email? Is there a place to be able to check out if the facts they state in the email are true or not?

check out http://www.snopes.com,/ they deal with all kinds of myths and legends (with documented sources) but have a section on politics as well.

Usually these forwards are distortions or outright lies.

some of it is true but yes it should be checked on snopes.com to be sure
