In order to answer this question, you would need to know what your gas mileage is (miles per gallon or km per ltr). Then just divide the amount of miles you are driving by the gas mileage and that would be approx. the number of gallons or liters you would need.
Example:
driving 150 miles
car gets 25 miles per gallon
150 miles divided by 25 miles per gallon = 6 gallons
