moving to sky broadband?
I am thinking of switching from Bt to Sky for broadband Since I am already a Sky user with tv and sky talk I can get broadband for £5. If you use sky broadband how do you find the service I heard that a lot of people are having problems with it is that true

I've had Sky broadband for nearly a year now and have found it to be the best and most reliable broadband service I've ever used (Virgin were the worst by F****** miles). There's only been 2 days in the last year when it's been down, and it's pretty rare that it disconnects. The technical support line is free to call and they're generally very helpful. And as you already know it's very cheap if you're a Sky TV customer. Highly recommended in my experience.
It can vary though depending on where you live.
I find it incredible that anyone would recommend Virgin. I had Virgin broadband before I switched to sky and it was utter SH!T!!!! Couldn't connect about half the time and then they charge 25p a minute for the privellege of ringing their "help" line to tell them that it's not working and then they've got no clue how to resolve the problem. Virgin are rubbish, don't switch to Virgin.

I have been with sky broadband for about a year, and my internet has always been slow, even tho we pay a tenner for the faster one. It's always cutting out. I have to resent the modem at least 3 times a night and this makes it quicker for a while.
But my friend lives 2 mins round the corner from me and has no trouble with her Sky broadband at all. So I dunno if it is just a few of us with these problems.

Do not go to sky, i had intermittent problems with it and i wanted to kill myself when trying to use it. O2 broadband is excellent. 20 pounds for 20megs and if you are an o2 customer its even cheaper. Its perfect. Great technical support and hasn't crashed once.

If you ring up BT and say you're switching they give you a new box and £5 off your current contract
you just have to make sure they know you're about to leave
worked for us
