if you answerd a question?

No, the person isn't notified of the comment. When I get a Best Answer notice, I try to click on the question to see if there is a comment, and thank the asker for giving me Best Answer. Unfortunately, there are many instances that I don't have time to get to it. I'm afraid many people don't got back to look for a comment.

I started my experience with yahoo answers because I needed an answer because yahoo was messing up a launch messenger function on the homepage to give advertising. I needed an answer I searched for an answer. The only answer I got disregarded the facts I gave and was incorrect. I had to find out later there was another messenger with no download I could have bookmarked, after it was too late and I had changed the computer to solve the problem. I would have looked in all comments for help, had there been any good help to find. They rewarded the incorrect answer as best answer and a wrong answer got the points.

When comments are posted to a question YA does not notify the asker.

I figure not too many users goes back & checks the comments.

Maybe you can email the asker if they accept emails.
