blu ray digital download regular computers?
hey everybody. I just recently bought a blu-ray player and a couple blu ray dvds. A couple of them come with the digital copy. Can I insert it into my macbook pro and get the digital copy or will it not work since my computer does not have the blu-ray drive. it would be stupid to have them if it won't, but thanks!
P.s. anyone know a cheap and reliable place to buy bluray dvds?
A digital copy that comes with the released dvd is official...so you get the movie on the disk and also a transferable "digital copy" of the film to have on ipod/laptop, etc.

I assume that by "digital copy" you mean the standard definition version of the movie...
It will only work in your Mac if your Mac has a Blu-Ray drive. The disc may look the same, but it's a totally different format, with a much higher level of data density (thus the requirement for a blue laser.)
Even if your Mac had a Blu-Ray drive, though, it probably still wouldn't play. The deal there is that the big movie companies don't want you ripping Blu-Ray discs to your hard drive ('cause then you might share them on Pirate Bay or something equally naughty) so they put special protection on the disc that makes your Mac say, "Sorry. This disc is encrypted." There's a program (AnyDVD HD from SlySoft.com) that you can get that will circumvent the encryption, but I think it's only for PCs.
For the best prices on Blu-Ray discs, go to http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/ and search for the movie you want. Then find the Blu-Ray version in the list of search results.
