Why wont my light work?

There is something wrong with my power wire to my headlight. I put a jumper from my battery to the light and it worked perfect. only problem is its straight from the battery so it wont cut out. is there any way (without tearing out all of my lights system) to give my light more power?

    I would suspect a bad Light Switch first. Also check the wiring / fusable link between the battery & the switch.
