I certainly would say it is murder, but it seems like it's the only viable option. At least let one of them live a normal life.
But it would be interesting to let them grow up and see if they had distinct personalities.

It is murder, yes. Since murder is defined as ending a life - and the other twin was obviously alive. I think the harder question should be whether or not it's morally wrong, since others have mentioned that the fully formed twin and the smaller twin would have both died anyways without the operation.

No, I dont. Even though the one child died later, they both would have died anyways without the surgery.
For anyone saying yes, the article does not give enough information. Did the twin have a seperate brain?

if you stop the life on purpose yes, if you seperate the 2 then stop one from living it would be murder. but if you separate the 2 then 1 dies on its own then its not murder.

No. Failure to act would have resulted in both of them dying, so the operation saved the one which could be saved, while nothing could be done for the other.
