which do you prefer: rose or potato?
i like using this analogy:
love can be categorized as two things: a potato and a rose. the rose is a beautiful thing. it smells nice and comes in many different varieties. but the problem is, it doesn't last very long. soon after you cut it, it wilts and loses its sweet scent and vibrant color.
now the potato is different. the potato is ugly and brown on the outside, but its very nutritious on the inside. and above all that, it lasts for years! its like those things never rot!
so my question is, do you prefer a rose or a potato?
this is not about eating it, this is a metaphor for relationships
rose: relationship based on looks alone
potato: relationship based on personality

I prefer a potato, then ill paint it pretty pink and throw glitter on it, didn't think about that did you?
