34 weeks pregnant - really tight twinges in my pelvic area?

I have been having really tight twinges in my pelvic area that nearly makes me want to go for a pee then it stops. This has been happening all day. I also have severe pain in my pelvic girdle which the midwife said is the ligaments stretching my pelvis but these twinges are completely different they are more in my private parts than groin. Does anyone have any suggestions what this could be? Its not needing to go to the loo due to number of weeks- i am postive of that one as i am still going as normal. thanks

sounds like the baby is squishing your bladder

It sounds like it could be braxton hicks contractions, round ligaments stretching, or simply baby trying to get into position. I felt a lot of those twinges around the time my baby turned head down, so that could be it.

Hope this helps! If you're really worried, call your midwife just to check in.

it could be braxton hicks contractions, which is the baby practicing. i had something very similar when i was pregnant. you shouldn't worry although i do understand why! if you are worrying though just speak your midwife. hope this helps =)

your're probably having braxton hicks practice contractions... this is as your uterus expands and pushes on your pelvis hence the discomfort!
