How do I fix my leg?

I was walking to class today, and I took a step quickly because my friend surprised me. All of a sudden, my leg started to hurt. on the left side of my left leg, at the very top. It hurts to walk? How can I fix this?

    Massage it and take tylenol if your not allergic to it and ice it then a heating pad for 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off. And Rest that leg for a day - it should be good tomorrow - you sound like your young
