forget drinks, sleep is always the best tool. try taking a power nap prior to needing to stay up longer / before going out for the night (nap no more than 10 - 20 minutes). you should be able to stay up longer and you'll actually retain concentration, etc. hope this helps.

I've got to agree with regular guy, a nap is the best way to stay up if you need to, i work permanent night shift and powernaps before work get me through the nights when i've not had enough sleep beforehand. The days, when i'm off i have a long nap in the morning then get a full day to myself. There's a really good article here about it. http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/ideas/naps/

take a nap before the night and then when u feel tired do push ups and sit ups. that should get your blood flowing and in return wake u up. besides its good for u too! so not only will u be able to stay up late , which is unhealthy , you will counter act that unhealthy act with a healthy one. and i would also recommend a few cups of coffe. that always does it for me.
