Can standardize test predict SAT scores? ?

My son is only 13 but since the 4th grade he has scored in at least 98% percentile for all standardize test. Is there any correlation between standardize test and SAT scores?

Honestly, its not a good indication. Some kids whoa re very intelligent in middle school start to slack in their high school years or get booged down from sports, jobs, and extra curriculars. Also, there isn't a national standardized test for elementary school kids. Many schools use different tests so top 2 % in that test doesn't mean your top 2% in the country.

Your son is in eight grade now, are his standardized tests percentiles slipping or going up? That would be a good education.

When I was 12 or 13 I was in the 97th or 98th percentile and now I'm only in the 90th for SATs. I'm also still in a group for kids who scored in the top 3% in the standardized tests and many of them now have average, if not below average scores.

Still, standardized tests, aren't always a good evaluation on how smart people are.
