I like Pauoa Valley, Pali, Metro (Diamond Head side of Ka'aako, downtown Honolulu), Punchbowl, Waikiki.
Makiki, Manoa, Hawaii Kai and Kailua.

The places where I would love to live are: Kailua, Manoa, upper Makiki, Aina Haina, Niu Valley, Hawaii Kai, Nuuanu, parts of Kaimuki. But it really depends on what you are looking for in a neighborhood & what your pocketbook can afford. None of the places that I listed are inexpensive. And then there are places like Diamond Head & Kahala that are totally off the scale.

I would go to Kauai'i more than ohau, much prettier, peaceful and relaxing.

It's all expensive. I wouldn't live in Waikiki, unless you wanna live with all the tourists. I liked Salt Lake.
