this is funny, I just had dinner with some Chinese friends and I asked them what their feelings were towards Indians and they said that generally speaking Chinese feel like India is lagging way behind China, their skin is too dark, they smell and their English is too difficult to understand, so, I think that Chinese people really do not have a very high opinion of Indians

Are you talking on a national scale, or individual person to person scale? I think on individual level, Chinese don't have any negative prejudice against Indians. But on a national scale, there were a few skirmishes along the border a few decades ago. Even today there are still parts of China and India claims, and vice versa. In addition to the fact that India harbors the Dalai Lama. But really the two sides have mostly been civil with each other. Unlike India with Pakistan, or China with Japan.

Individually speaking, no, I have a lot of friends who are Indian, and we all get along fine. On the national scale, India isn't so friendly to China, and vas versa. There was border dispute as well as China's support to Pakistan. If it wasn't for China helping Pakistan to develop their nuclear weapon, they would have been taken over by India.

I have never heard that before. I have heard that Japanese and Chinese don't get along so well. Indians have had issues with pakistan in the past. It would be news to me.

Its entirely true. China wants to dominate in Asia and world over and perceives India as a hurdle in its goal of domination. There has been a war between the two countries in 1962 over border disputes, though the real reason was India granting asylum to Dalai Lama. China has consistently tried to corner India on all major platforms. The most recent being adopting a tough position against US-India Nuclear deal in NSG meeting.
