Is God angry when people pray to or through saints?

Prayer is a "request". When we pray to those who have gone to heaven ahead of us, we are making a "request" of them. And what is that request? It is that THEY pray for US. Protestants do it all the time, but they limit themselves to making this request only of people still on earth. In this, the protestant view of the Church is very narrow. You see, Romans 8: 38-39 says: "neither death nor life... ...neither the present nor the future.. ..neither height nor depth, nor anything else.. ..will be able to separate us". The Family of God transcends death, We All Live in CHRIST.
Hebrews 12: 22-24 says that as we approach God, Jesus and the angels, we also approach "the spirits of righteous men made perfect". In other words, THE SAINTS
BUT, can They Hear Us? One charge against us is that the saints in heaven cannot even hear our prayers, making it useless to ask for their intercession. However, this is not true. As Scripture indicates, those in heaven are aware of the prayers of those on earth. For example, in Revelation 5:8, John depicts the saints in heaven offering our prayers to God under the form of "golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints." But if the saints in heaven are offering our prayers to God, then they must be aware of our prayers. They are aware of our petitions and present them to God by interceding for us.
Oh, the intercession of fellow Christians-which is what the saints in heaven are-also clearly does not interfere with Christ’s unique mediatorship because in the four verses immediately preceding 1 Timothy 2:5, Paul says that Christians should interceed: "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and pleasing to God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:1-4). Clearly, then, intercessory prayers offered by Christians on behalf of others is something "good and pleasing to God," not something infringing on Christ’s role as mediator.
God bless.

If you are praying to god through a saint or you are praying to a saint instead of God...then that is your own fault....I am Catholic...I do not pray to them, I ask them to pray for me ..much like you would ask your fellow Born again ..or baptist christian to pray for you...except your guy is still trying to get eternal life in heaven ..and my guy already got it & is there right now! and has the eternal life we all look for ..so to say saint's and Mary are dead...is not to bright an answer if your a Christian who believes in the Eternal Life through Jesus salvation...I am sorry many people can not decipher how to Worship God & merely ask a Proven Christian (.Saint) for help..After All the word saint means People chosen by God...

I doubt it seriously because "Anger" is a human emotion. That is, this is something that only humans experience.
Any god, assuming that they exist at all, I would have to believe to be far above anything like human emotions.
This is reminiscent of the stories about the Greek/Roman gods. They made love, experienced jealousy, drank wine, etc. Zeus used to get angry and throw thunderbolts.
The one thing that I am fairly certain about is that, if god, or any such god exists at all, it would have to have little or nothing in-common with earthly humans. Especially something so petty as anger or jealousy.
Seriously, whenever you see things like gods experiencing emotions, like anger, jealousy, etc) you can be fairly certain that these are just stories invented by humans to explain their world, or perhaps just for entertainment storytelling.

No, its in scripture that we should pray together with all the saints. there are no restrictions as to the location of the saints.
I plan on living forever also, that is our faith, I will certainly intercede if I am in heaven. Just ask me.

So Fireball, all born agains are dead?
I will never understand how some fundamentalists can claim that the Saints are dead and also believe in the words of Jesus of eternal life?
And I used to even be a Protestant!

God is the Holy trnity God the father God the son and God the Holy Spirit equally God same subtance and undivided equally. Some will tell you pray to God will suffice and dont go to Church. While we cannot deny pray to God is important, we cannot deny the intercession of the saints. If we observe the stamenst of Sentinel, it does not mean quite literally that of we pray to the Saints we are worshiping them. Let us make a few things straight The Saints are people who ahve died and gone back to God(The most Holy trinity) and in which the same God came down as Jesus Christ. All of them have lead a saintly life of penance piety service to the Roman Catholic Church and they ahve desrved a right and just reward For Jesus said If anyone loses his life for my sake he will find it
Likewise God acts through the Sainta and through their example we became more like them just Like Jesus Christ who is wholly and truly God. God acts through them and bring us close to him through them. WHIle Christ is the only mediator as God himself as God and man we should not insult the life of the SAints who ra made and esigned by God
To endthe truth i would like to extract one paragraoh from Sentinel

In John chapter 16 verse 6, the Bible makes us aware that Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. And that no one goes to the father(God) except through Him(Jesus). At such, God being a merciful father, he doesn't get angry to say, but feels sad that those children of his are lost.

Since Yeshua (Jesus) is our ONLY intermediary, and says so in God's Word, it's possible that prayers don't even reach God when people pray through dead saints.
And no, it isn't the same as having a living friend pray for someone. The Bible is very clear that those who are dead can do nothing for us.

If there is a god, I would doubt he cares how we pray or interpret the things we see around us. If he wanted an absolute worship regimine, he could tell us in simple, undeniable terms. He doesn't because he doesn't care. Only religious leaders have anything to gain or lose by how people choose to worship.
