  • is parodontax really safe to use daily?

    Hi,

as we know, it is not healthy to use many antibiotics, antibacterial soaps and to desinfect our household if not really necessary/recommended by a doctor. Ive also heard it is not recommended to use antibacterial mouthwashes such as Listerine on a daily basis as it damages natural microflora and might actually kill the good bacteria that fight the bad ones. Ive heard this from a reputable dentist in radio and also read in some articles. In our country, Listerine tried to get official recommendation from Dentist Association to use it in their adverts, but they didnt get it. Now my question is- is using Parodontax mouthwash against paradentosis, that also claims to be antibacterial not suitable for daily use such as Listerine? I know that on the label it claims it is for daily use, but you cant believe everything that the producer says. Im asking this because in the first place, they say it is for the gum health and they dont stress the antibacterial effect so much as Listerine does. So im wondering if they work on same or different basis.

    Thank you.

  • Bible colouring suggestions?

Hi, id like to mark important Bible verses using different colours. What are your suggestions for the categories of the verses, eg. Prayer, Love, Sin etc...? I would like to choose a color for all categories, so I need to decide what categories there are going to be.

Please dont bother to write things such as mythology, immoralities, etc and save your time for answering other questions :D

    Thanks :)

  • How to study at the university?

    Hi,

Id like to improve my note-taking skills and critical thinking abilities. My problem is that if i read a text about some topic, I dont usually think about what I read, I just try to understand the meaning of sentences/paragraphs/whole text, but I almost never think about weaknesses or application of the text to real life. To explain: I study social sciences and often read someone´s theory about topic X. Than we have to read reaction of another person to the first persons writing. Only when i read the second one, I see that i didnt notice some serious problems with Text no 1 and i see I didnt really think about the topic. How can I improve my critical reading skills and whats the best way to really force myself to think about the topic in a larger context and see relations with other subjects and to be more critical about the authors I read? Is it even possible to learn this?

  • Catholic or Protestant church?

    Hi,

Ive recently became a Christian but now it is hard for me to choose the "right" denomination. Id like to ask wether you think it is better to become a catholic or one of the protestant churches. I dont like catholic teachings very much but i live in a small town where there is only a catholic church and Jehowah´s witnesses (i dont want to go there of course!). During the academic year, I stay in a larger city where I do have a possibilty to meet Protestants. So Id like to ask about your opinion- should I choose Catholics or Protestants? Im well aware I wont ba able to find a church that fully corresponds with all of my personal views, so Im asking which one is "less evil" :DD

    Thanks

  • I want to try ballet?

    Hi everyone,

at my university every student must take some kind of sport during at least 2 semesters. There are various options and ballet for beginners is one of them. Id like to ask wether you think it wont be stupid if I give it a try if im 21 years old and also a bit overweight but im quite flexible and can perform stretches better than my friends of the same age. This class is nothing serious i think, most professors understand we are doing sports just because we sit too much during studying and the only goal is to move in some way :-D so id like to hear your opinion wether you think i should try it or do something different. Thanks :-)

  • Advice for 1st year university student?

I will soon become a uni student and im a bit confused about it. I will have to read many books but how should i take notes? In the high school, we had one subject/one book but how should i organize my notes now? Accourding to the subject or book, if im going to read like 2-3 at one time? Do you have some good note-taking system that is quick and possible to understand a few months later as well (when you prepare for test and dont have the book anymore)?

Also, im not sure wether i read fast enough. It takes me about 3 and a half min to read one page with full understanding of new terms (the page that is without pictures of course) is that fast enough? If not, how can i improve?

    Thanks for your advoce :-)

  • negative effects of vitamin supplements?

We all know that eating pills damages your stomach, liver, antibiotics decrease your immunity as they kill "good" bacteria in your intestines that are responsible for immunity in your body. Can long-term usage of vitamin supplements also hurt you in some way?
