Unable to call out to a certain Area Code on home phone line, also it won't allow me to send out fax to same.?
Every time I try to call out to a certain area code on my home phone line, its saying that its blocked and I'm not able to call out to that area code to reach people that I've been able to call in the past.
I Do Not have any type of blocking on my phone what so ever, so that I can block some one from calling to this area code.
Does any one have any ideas as to what the problem could be. Any help you can give would be appreciated.
BTW: I was trying to avoid having to call At&t about why this is happening.
BTW: kenbgrey,
No its for an area code in No. Ca. and I live in So. Calif. Suddenly I'm no longer able to call this number or fax another number up in that same area.
Both are numbers that I have both called and faxed to in the past. One of the numbers I was able to get through to as of about 2 weeks ago. The numbers on both ends are not blocked.
So some how its happening on my end and I do not have any type of blocking on my home phone or blocking on my phone service.
It just doesn't make any sence to me as to why its happening. I've checked my phone manuel and it has nothing about blocking in it.

It sounds like you need to contact your service provider to see why this is happening. Even though you might not have any blocks on your land line from home, this could still be the issue. Someone could have found some information on your account, called your service provider, and blocked that specific area code. While this seems highly unlikely, your service provider could have accidentally blocked yours, when they actually meant to block someone else. There could also be a problem with their lines as well or you could have a malfunction in the wiring outside. Your best bet is to call your service provider. I know. I hate it to. Hope this helps

Is this area code out of the country by any chance? The people that you are trying to reach may have a block on theirs for some reason. This is a new one on me.
