What did this dog give me? (Scabies, mange, etc.??)?
My sister brought home a puppy, probably 2-4 weeks old. I ended up letting it sleep with me. She takes it to the vet a day or so later because it had an itching problem.
Now I have an itching problem. All the vet told her was that it had mange. Me and my g/f have developed bumps and itching on our triceps, biceps, forearms, and stomach. Their are little bumps. I've read there are 'human scabies' and 'dog scabies'. Did I get dog scabies?
I've actually had the 'human' type of scabies before, maybe that's why I reacted so fast to these (within a couple of days). Are these going to go away? I can't stand it!!
Just didn't know if anyone has experienced this. I've read they will go away on their own, that they can't live on humans.
Don't tell me 'ewww', I can't stand it, myself. Highly aggravating.

Honestly to get the best answer from anyone, you need to go see a doctor/ the vet! You need for them to tell you what you have, how it happened and how it can be stopped. So go to your doctor or some medical person and ask them. im sure they will give you the best possible answer!

yes there are two types of mange and one of them is scabies and yes you can catch it.but i'm thinking is it was fleas.and dirty hair.but you need to call that vet that seen the puppy and ask them which kind it was.and if people can get it.before you spend money on a doctor.a phone call cost less.

You need to go to a doctor (human kind) and get an ointment or antibiotic for it. You probably got mange from the puppy.
