Is Yahoo UK mail server experiencing problems right now.?

If you are with Virgin media then follow these instructions and you will be able to access your mail again =)

In Internet Explorer

Choose Tools > Internet Options > Connections

Under Dial-Up and Virtual Private Network Settings,if there is an entry in there select it and choose the Settings button

If not then choose the LAN Settings button instead

Now clickto add a tick to the box which says Use a proxy server for this connection OR Use a proxy server for your LAN or something similar.

In the Address: box type - webcache.virginmedia.com

In the Port: box type 8080

Click OK and OK again and restart Internet Explorer.

For Firefox.

Select Tools - Options - Advanced - select the Network tab - click the Settings button - click the" Manual proxy configurtation" radio button -

then under "HTTP Proxy" enter "webcache.virginmedia.com" and enter 8080 in the port box

You might also need to change back to Yahoo! Classic, when you can get in to do it, that is.Underneath your e-mail address just click on the mail classic option,it will ask you to confirm that you want to go back to using the old style version,just click yes.

but the above will solve the problem permanantly =)
