Red Sox vs Rays Game 7?

congrats to the rays but i do not think they should have won game 7. The ump blew it twice in two important situations. let me explain. 8th innning 1 out bases loaded mark kotsay up i think it was full count. david price throws an outside fastball and the ump hesitates and calls it a strike 3. that is BS because i saw the whole game and the pitches in that area were always called balls. ok one mistake i forgive the ump but the next 1 was terrible. 8th inning 2 outs bases loaded price pitching i forgot who was hitting for red sox and price throws a fastball which was way outside more outside than the last one. The batter check swings and the ump says he went around. NO WAY HE DID. I SAW THE REPLAY ABOUT 10 TIMES AND HE WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO SWINGING. ANY BASEBALL EXPERT KNOWS THAT HE DID NOT GO AROUND. i am not a red sox fan or a rays hater but the ump blew it twice. maybe the rays would have still won but i dont think so if the ump made the right call.

I was there so I can't really comment on the outside pitch but I saw the replay of the "swing" and even I agree that he didn't go around. I have to add that the game calling from behind home plate for the whole series was not good. They were consistantly inconsistant.

    And thanks for the congrats!

edit: those calls are not the reason the Sox lost the series. They left like a guh-zillion guys on base.

As a Utah Jazz fan I know all too well of blown calls. As in Michael Jordan pushing off on Bryan "don't call me Byron" Russell. However, I have come to the realization that if your team has to go back to one call and define that as the final straw, Then your wrong. The Jazz did not lose the championship because of that push off and the BoSox did not lose because of that swing or non swing. Rays won fair and square. I could come back and give examples of blown calls throughout the series for both teams. Refs, Umps etc. make mistakes. This one blown call was one play. What about the butttt kicking you had while Lester pitched in Boston. I say get over it. Even though I must admit, I still have not overcome the Jordan push off. LOL.

    One more thing.... Go ORIOLES!!!!!

I'm a Sox fan, they left too many runners on base. I can understand complaining about the umps if there was an obvious call but you can't complain about their strike zone. Price has some electric stuff and they weren't going to hit him.

I am a redsox fan and I also agree that J D Drew ( i think) did not go around. You never know about momentum so i won't say for sure about if the sox could have won the game. I have a comment of my own about all the" loyal" rays fans that show up during the playoffs but they can't find a way to deal with the park during the regular season.

The rays have become a BANDWAGON team.

i did no longer assume it this night. I anticipated them to lose. in spite of the shown fact that the way they misplaced makes me a splash sick. My coronary heart actually dropped while it have been given tied up. Now that's the ask your self, no longer that they misplaced, yet how they misplaced. quite, i'm nevertheless baffled over the Wheeler non-pass. I in simple terms don't get it yet oh nicely. Congrats Sox, and now Rays pass shield corporation in interest 6.

As a Sox fan I have to agree with you but everyone makes errors especially when a balls coming at you at 90+ mph.

    I agree.

The Rays would not have even made the playoffs if the Yankees hadn't had three of their five top pitchers out all year plus four regulars out from one to five months.

Then David Ortiz healthy would have kept them out of the playoffs entirely.

They did not deserve to win game seven, it was badly umpired, as you said.

So now, I have to root for the Philadephia Phillies to save my baseball season.
