fruitflies, how to get rid of them?

To get rid of pesky fruit flies, pour 1/2 inch of apple cider vinegar and 2 drops of dishwashing liquid into a small glass. Mix well. The flies will be drawn to the liquid and gone forever!

take a shallow can (i.e. tuna) and rinse it. Put some peelings, or maybe beer according to an earlier post, inside the can. Pull a piece of plastic wrap over the can and secure around the sides with a rubber band. Poke several holes in the plastic wrap with a toothpick. The gnats can get in, but can't get out. Leave the trap overnight. Throw the trap away outside or empty, clean and reset for the next evening. Depending on the number of gnats, the trappin' may take a couple of evenings.

They only live a few days. Remove anything they can eat and you should be rid of them within a week. Don't leave fruit or food sitting out (keep it in the fridge or store it in sealed plastic bags.) Most people don't realize that fruit flies LOVE beer. I had a terrible infestation I couldn't figure out for nearly a month til I discovered that when I had a party weeks before someone had left a half-full bottle of beer tucked between the couch and the wall. When I found it it was full of fly maggots and a cloud of fruit flies. Check your place for bottles and cans.

Get one of these sticky things that hang on someting from the dollar store

or get a veryyy narrow classs

fill it with honey .

and make a cone of paper over it

and all of the fruit flies will go into it. and thr to dumb to figure out how to get out.
