Any good games for a new NES owner?

I just became the owner of a vintage NES and would like to try out some games. can anyone offer any suggestions? Please no obvious ones, like Super Mario Bros, Legend Of Zelda or Duckhunt. Thanks, from one old-school gamer to another!

The first answerer told you Mario Kart. Bad News: Mario Kart did not make its debut until the Super NES arrived. So no Mario Kart on NES, sorry. Well, yes the obvious ones and the Mega Man Games. But if I am wrong, try google and type best NES games.

Castlevania, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Final Fantasy, and Ninja Gaiden are excellent games in my opinion. But it depends on what you're after. I'd go for the platformers since I think that's what the NES really did best.
