Installing software on a computer without a DVD Drive?

I am about to buy a laptop without a DVD-Drive, so I just wanted to know how can i install software that comes with a CD/DVD without having to buy an external DVD drive. I just need a few options. Thanks

    Firstly NEVER download software advised unless you know the provider.

    Your only solution that I can see is that you use an external cdrom drive or copy the software to a USB stick but some software does look for the signature on a cd-rom.
