For those of you who have read Lord of the Flies...?

What do you think the climax was; when the two groups split into Ralph's and Jack's OORR when Simon is killed.

Also, I need to do this project but I can't decide which event is more important/easier to write about; when Piggy's specs are stolen OORR when Ralph is being hunted all over the island BEFORE the rescue.

Votes? Opinions? Help me out :P

i would definately say that the climax is when simon is killed.

when i studied that book in school the teacher chose that as the climax.

and for your second question, i would probably write about ralph being hunted, it really shows how crazy the boys became.

Let me think (it's been awhile)........I think that the climax is when Simon is killed.

And, your second question......I think that Ralph being hunted is the more important of the two.

I think when Simon was killed. I think that it brought to focus how the innocent are always the victim of tyranny. I remember the sadness and helplessness of Piggy when his specs were stolen. It brought out the empathy of anyone that has ever been a victim because they were considered"weaker".
