7 reasons the world will end in 2012?
Don't know whether its true or not, but just thout of sharing it to you.
7 reasons the world will end in 2012
Scientific experts from around the world are genuinely predicting that five years from now, all life on Earth could well finish. Some are saying it'll be humans that set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are saying it'll be God himself who presses the stop button...
1. Mayan Calendar
The first mob to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things:
Building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and
Sacrificing Virgins.
Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it's likely they've got the end of the world right as well.
2. Sun Storms
Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it's supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with so much radiation energy, it's been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest it'll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012
3. The Atom Smasher
Scientists in Europe have been building the world's largest particle accelerator. Basically its a 27km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the Universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it's properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They're predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.
4. The Bible says...
If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn't bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act aswell. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between Good an Evil, has been set down for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.
5. Super Volcano
Yellowstone National Park in the United States is famous for its thermal springs and Old Faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple - it's sitting on top of the world's biggest volcano, and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we're many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.
6. The Physicists
This one's case of bog-simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berekely Uni have been crunching the numbers. and they've determined that the Earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they're claiming their calculations prove, that we're all going to die, very soon - while also saying their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 percent- and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.
7. Slip-Slop-Slap-BANG!
We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that sheilds us from most of the sun's radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call north and south have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so - and right now we're about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is underway, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.

1. Mayan Calendar
Many people who have studied this now believe it the the Mayans predicted Earth entering a new phase (as it has done many times in the past). Just because their calender stops on 2012, doesn't mean the world will end.
2. Sun Storms
Scientific evidence states the sun will actually grow in size & give off more heat before it dies, it's not predicted to do this for thousands upon thousands of years.
3. The Atom Smasher
Neutral scientists have said that EVEN if a mini black hole was made in this thing, it would be so small it would only fold in on itself, and not pose any sort of threat to anything, except maybe a spec of dust.
They already swicthed this on, and nothing happened. If this will cause the end of the world, it'll be in a few months when they do the experiment, not in 2012.
4. The Bible says...
This would only be *some* interpretations of the Bible. Religious folks have been predicting the world will end in their lifetime for generations.....we're still here.
5. Super Volcano
I've read about this.....it's not gonna be big enough to block out the sun, you're talking about a nuclear winter here.....
6. The Physicists
LOL, they can't predict when something is gonna happen, not until they know WHAT is going to happen.
7. Slip-Slop-Slap-BANG!
Yeah...........I've heard about this one to..... it's nothing to worry about.....

Sorry, but it looks like these came from another site and you're just trying to scare monger people who buy into this "the world will end on this date" nonsense.
How many scares have there been in the past.........its not happened yet, and I'm not holding my breath for 2012 to happen either.

Okay look let me explain something, I can not make it any more simpler, people think doomsday will happen because the Mayan calendar ends there, OR because the Egyptians and Nostradamus predicted it, OR because NASA says so.These races and people were not all that intelligent, OR they do not have the intelligence yet to tell you this. For example, The Egyptians believed in all sorts of Gods, but that was a whole pile of bogus and they were not that intelligent. Next, the Mayan calendar, it ends in 2012, so what? My calendar ends in December does that mean the world will end in December, what makes the Mayan calendar so different from the rest? NOTHING but their superstition makes it seem so. Third, Nostradamus predicted this, BUT if you study the numerous dozens of quatrains from Nostradamus' book written in the 1500's; "The Prophecies", you would know that instead of predicting the future he is retelling the past and foreshadowing the events to come. He is basically relating to events that have happened in the past, and he thinks that when the stars align the same way they did in history when an incident happened, it will repeat itself, impossible. For example if certain stars aligned themselves on the day of 9/11 he thinks that another disaster like this will happen when they stars align the same way again, this is impossible. And lastly, NASA, for Pete's sake if NASA were so smart to be SURE how the solar system works, they would have invented technology to take us to Jupiter by know but so far the most advanced technology they have is a spaceship. NASA have studied astrology and they study star patterns and astrological symbols when solar disasters happen, and they think that when these patterns repeat themselves it will happen again. Yes, the solar disasters such as solar flares, comets, black holes, etc are becoming more and more in shorter periods of time but who's to say that NASA is correct in saying that there will be the most solar disasters in Space on December 21, 2012? They are just using Nostradamus' theory which has not been proven to work. Anyway, there are a MILLION OTHER stories saying the world will end, and they keep becoming more and more. when a person tells another person the story he alters it a bit and so it changes and changes and it becomes a whole different story. We will never know until 2012 if the world will end, however it is very unlikely. What about when the most famous man to predict disasters, Nostradamus, predicted that the "King of Terror" Will come down from the sky in the "seventh month" of 1999? Nothing happened that month, but people believed him, some killed themselves, others committed mass suicide, nothing can be known for a fact, you must wait and see for yourself, the world has survived billions of years I highly doubt that it will end JUST when civilization has come to its peak. Thank you.

The world will not end in 2012!
the maya calender ends in that time, not the world.
and scientifically they say that the poles may shift and that can cause big environmental changes. That's all.
and in the bible clearly says that nobody will know when Jesus will come to put an end in all ba things.
and about the prophecies that some people did, like Edgar Cayse didn't said that the world will end , but maybe many people will die, actually he said that ny will sink, europe will disappeared with a blink of an eye, and stuff.
BS, nothing is gonna happen. Just have faith in God and he will provide for us.

The end of the world has been predicted many times, for many reasons, by many people; we're still here.
How about the "Moon sized meteor" that is possibly going to pass between Terra and Luna in 2012? That'll shake things up a bit, dampen a lot of spirits.
See you in 2013?

for starters, people are very naive to think that the world as we know it will "never" end ..... it's very possible, and it could be only a matter of time. i don't believe in religion, i don't believe in hearsay, but i DO believe in science. there's a number of things that could cause the world to end; climate. natural disasters. another "big bang". miles-wide asteroids. but at the same time, science is a PREDICTION. we can predict the weather, but to predict a natural disaster or any of these things is merely an idea, a prediction .... just like going and getting your palms read, which i think is crap as well, lol. bottom line, if it's going to happen, it will, and there's nothing we can do to prevent it. why live in fear of this day? .... you shouldn't worry about it, because think about it. we've been around for how many years, and made it this far. you can't believe everything you read (ie: the bible, the national enquirer, nostradamus shows) .... that's exactly what the media is for, to keep us on our toes. and apparently it does a good job!

Ok, last month, exactly Wednesday 18, 2008 I think, they said that we will all die. Yes, I was really frightened. . . nothing happened.
LAST century, they said that we were going to die in 200 something, nothing. . .
Yes, I know that the world WILL end in some ways, but I don't care no more. . . oh, well, wouldn'd that be an experience though? Falling through a black hole? Pssh, that's cool, sorta'

I'm not sayin is will or wont. BUT...NO ONE knows the day nor the hour that the Lord will return. He gives us signs to look for before we come back and most of them have been fulfilled but we'll never know. God just says be on the watch because a lot is going to happen in the last days and we will all need to know what to expect so we wont be decieved, Have any more questions or need scripure just message me.

Actually the Myan calander doesnt 'predict' the end of the world, but it does stop on that date. For what reason? Who knows, but realistically at some point your going to say, **** it ill be dead in a few thousand years, by then someone else can finish the calender for me.

Have read the Bible through twice and never saw the date 2012 mentioned
PS - I was mailed 88 Reasons why Jesus will return in 1988
the next year I received 89 reasons for 1989
they did not publish one in 1990
no man knows the day - not even Jesus
John 10:10 "I am come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly."
Jesus brings peace
