What's the public transport like in your city?
Just wondering because in Brisbane, Australia it is crap. Seriously, the buses never come when they're supposed to and I'm always late for school. Sometimes they never come. My family doesn't have a car, so we are forced to take public transport. What about you guys out there?

i was actually about to ask the same question
i'm from melbourne by the way
the public transport is alright but i think that's only because i live near the city so i have the tram, train and bus all 5 mins away and they're pretty regular for me
like cos i live on a main station i can catch any train on my line so basically there's one every like 3 minutes
and my bus comes every 10mins, but suring peak hour it's pretty irregular like sometimes 3 buses are cramped up one after the other

In the last city we lived in (here in the states) it was fairly good. In Seattle it's kind of messy since that's where a lot of the buses go to deliver people who ride there to work. Here in the sticks where we live now it's limited because we're a small town.
But they get you where you need to go and they seem to be on time at least when I ride them.
I'm sorry you don't have a good transit system. =)

I'm living in Melbourne right now. And yeah, there's plenty of room for improvement.
The trains are really full in the mornings and in the late afternoon. On the news they say they doing their best to reduce congestion in trains. But I'm yet to see the results. I think they should have more carriages.

In Glasgow, Scotland, it's absolute crap. All the bus driver are Polish and don't speak English, they speed, they get lost, and the buses are never on time, it's a feckin' nightmare!

Some are annoying and some are just fine. Jeepneys here in the Philippines are sometimes the traffic causers due to some hard-headed drivers who doesn't follow the right loading and unloading zones.

In Metro areas in the united states, I think the busing system is reliable. We live in the country so you pretty much have to have a car! xox

well, it ain't much better in Melbourne mate. That is why I drive! Until the government forces Metlink to pick up their game, I will continue to add to greenhouse gasses. I refuse to par for a deeply flawed system.
