if i block a email in my yahoo account, will the sender know?
I have blocked a certain person from sending me emails through yahoomail options. I was wondering if the sender would get a mail not delivered message or a message indicating they have been blocked.

what happens to the blocked email - will the sender receive any kind of blocked/returned notification, or does it just disappear into the ether?
The sender does not receive any notification. In fact, that’s one way spammers harvest active accounts is by return receipts and/or unsubscribe requests. Then they just change the email address that they send from, and… you guessed it you get more spam in your inbox.

the mail will just be returned to sender. they can probably fiqure out they have been blocked but no notification will be sent as such
