Why wont my xbox live account automatically log in?

I play online but have to log in on my own. What do I have to do to make it automatic again?

    Open your guide button and go down to sign in. Select auto sign in.

    You go to your gamer tag profile scroll to the bottom and you will see auto-sign in.
