do the chocobo race withe the trainer win or lose and the person guarding the weapon will move because if u talk to him hell say how exiting the race was then u can go down and get the weapon

If you have the sigil, crest and celestial mirror, that guy blocking your path should be gone
Maybe if you exit the area and come back
But other than that, I have no idea
