Is Obama's Tax Plan fair? What do you think?

1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales and bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are under-achieving a "fair shake".

2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst you. This will help those who are "too busy for overtime" to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.

3. All top management will now be referred to as "the government." We will not participate in this "pooling" experience because the law doesn't apply to us.

4. The "government" will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard "for the good of all".

5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's "good to spread the wealth around". Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more "patriotic".

6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad, though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?)!!!

If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.

i urge to selection. Obama's tax plan won't enhance taxes for absolutely everyone, small organization or citizen who makes under $250,000. it is going to enhance taxes for people who make over that quantity yet in basic terms to the point that it replaced into for the duration of the Reagan administration. Buffet (richest man in world) pays 19%

His average employee pays 33%

I think buffet can spare 3% - that is why he is voting Obama even!

Bash needs an education on economics, do not edit your post and lie to say you have one please, it is obvious you do not.

His plan is ridiculously bad.

Corporations DO NOT PAY TAXES! They pass all taxes along to the customer in the form of higher prices, if the taxes are too high to do that they cut jobs till they can maintain their profit margin.

Failure to do this means the company goes out of business, and all jobs are lost at that company.

Is that what you want?

The only way the state can directly collect money from a company without that company passing the expense along to the customer is to Nationalize the business.

That is not very American, is that what you want?

A progressive tax code is not fair but it is not socialism.

A progressive tax code that results in a NEGATIVE tax rate at the low end is socialism.

If you get more back than you paid in taxes in a year, that is socialism, we have that already in the form of the Earned Income Credit.

That should be abolished.

It is not because of taxes, it is because of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, that evil piece of legislation must be repealed.

Kennedy tried with Executive Order 11110 which abolished it and put us on a silver standard, they killed him for it.

You know i don't fully agree with it but it is better than McCain's which is exactly what Bush is doing now.

The poor get poorer and the rich get richer.That is bullsh**.

I've grown up with my parents never making over 250,000 and all that happens is we got poorer. With Barack the rich stop getting the big breaks and the poor actually get a releif. The people who make over 250,000 a year can easily afford to pay a little more in taxes your probably gonna complain about this but im just stating my opinion and that is what you asked.

Don't let the politicians dictate what you should think and consider only. Look at the bigger picture. Presidency is not all about taxes. And don't be too naive. You know that candidates promises on campaigns never materialize. You can rely only on their previous achievements ,accomplishmets, and experience in office.

He wants the old Clinton plan of 1994 which instituted the biggest tax increase in history. He even says that in his campaign spots on TV. I know that my wife and I will pay $1800 more in federal taxes under this plan and we make less than half of the $250,000 number he uses. Obama must have poor math skills or be a competent liar or both.

They'll have to change the form name to 1040sw (spread the wealth, socialism works, suck my wang, whatever you want to call it) for those who actually work for a living.

For those that O'bama seems to be seeking some retribution for wrongs that they feel made them poor, they will have to use form 1040me (my entitlement).

This looks just like the form I filled in last year under Bush....I bet if McCain got in it would be the same form because he is a Bush Clone. Explain to me why 5% of Americans shouls have 80% of the wealth? Because they eaned it??? More than likely they stole it or it was daddy's.

John McCain thought it was fair as it is the same tax policy he used to support...These are exact McCain quotes from 2001:

"I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us at the expense of middle class Americans who most need tax relief."

And from his 2000 Presidential campaign:

"I really believe, that when you are -- reach a certain level of comfort, there's nothing wrong with paying somewhat more."

This whole "socialist" smoke screen thrown up by the GOP is ridiculous. Socialism means that all businesses, banks and methods of production are owned & controlled by the government. Obama has NEVER advocated equalization of income or pooled wages or government ownership of industry - he is talking about proportional taxation! That is a FAIR and RESPONSIBLE implementation of how a country is funded in order to provide appropriate services and protection for its citizens.
