If you have used them, did supplements & specialist teas help with breastfeeding / milk production?

Like Fenugreek & Mother's Milk Tea?

I would like to increase my output for expressing & also have more milk in the evenings for when my son is cluster feeding and gets crabby when the milk doesn't flow as fast as it does in the mornings!

Update:

There are worse things to smell of than maple syrup right? ;-)

I'm using Fenugreek. I drink Mother's Milk Tea and eat a big bowl of oatmeal every morning. It has really helped my supply, but I started doing them all at the same time, so I can't say which one cause the increase.

I used Fenugreek to try and keep my milk supply up once I went back to work, but it only seemed to help a little bit. I eventually got sick of smelling like maple syrup all the time and gave up on it.

I used Fenugreek for about a week and I think it helped. My husband actually liked the way I smelled. I usually pump twice a day even though I nurse my 8wk old son constantly. The pumping helps keep my milk supply high. Between the Fenugreek and pumping, you should have plenty of milk. Make sure you keep your fluid intake high.

i used fenugreek to help increase my milk as one breast seemed to fill more than the other. also just increase the feeds your baby has ,over a few day it should increase your milk supply . my son is 14 months old now and still breastfed .

the only thing i found i didn't like about fenugreek was they tasted of curry .

With a swifter pass nipple the toddler will almost continually refuse the breast because that is too a lot artwork compared to the bottle. One breast generating extra is honestly quite elementary. The teas by no ability worked for me. I merely had to maintain pumping and feeding lots to maintain the availability up, pretty when I went again to artwork on the weekends. i got here across that if I pumped previously I fed my toddler, i ought to get a lot extra and there continues to be adequate to feed the toddler. in case you pump after feeding the toddler, the milk will almost by no ability enable down. attempt to make breastfeeding a comfortable relaxing bonding journey for you 2. Lay in mattress to BF or get in a comfortable rocker with effective music on or something. The extra lower than pressure and apprehensive you're, the further your toddler will be too. talk and coo for your toddler, help her appreciate it with you. it might properly be the variety of alluring element that in effortless words you and your toddler can percentage. eventually in case you fairly won't be able to take care of it, don no longer sense undesirable about quitting. Any healthcare professional will inform you that no matter if you in effortless words BF for a pair months, the toddler continues to be getting a wide headstart. solid success honey, and also you may attempt this. :)

I'm taking fenugreek and brewer's yeast, they definitely do help. You might get sick of smelling like maple syrup, though, lol!
