Most people don't seem to say enough about most of their computer problems. For example: "My computer sound isn't working! What happened?"
That tells us very little. List what you've done already, when it stopped working if it worked at all at one time, whether any changes have been made to the system (software/hardware installations/removals), what your system is (OS, memory, etc.). The more detail the better, and that will get a better answer out of us!
I'll bet I'm not the only one on this, but I skip a lot of questions simply because there isn't enough information present to start troubleshooting, and I'm not going to write 3 pages of instructions due to lack of relevant information as a result. Please, please, PLEASE put in more information. As a technician, I'd rather have too much information than not enough.

I think it would help. Just to see if anyone with the same operating system has the same problem/question, and that the problem is the OS and not the computer or that the person's doing something wrong.

Yes they should. Every operating system is different depending on the situation. Most people on here don't say enough about their system to make a good answer.

generally people use XP or Vista... i haven't seen anything lower than that in a long time lol.
yes it does help us answer the question if you put the operating system in
