2002 s-10 just dies as i am driving along?
2002 s-10 pickup, 75K miles, 2.2 liter engine. i'll be driving along and it just stalls out. i never have less than 1/2 tank of gas.any ideas? starts right up when i turn the key.

Could be any of the other suggestions, maybe the fuel pump.

I agree it is probably electrical - but doubt it is the battery. The alternator should run the engine without the battery once started. I had a similar problem and ended up being very difficult to find but was wiring insulation worn through from rubbing on a bracket and intermittantly shorting out. Simple to fix once it was found.

I had this problem with my Pontiac, It could be electrical, Check the battery to make sure everything is tight.

also try a new fuel filter.
