what to do about the neighbors barking dogs?

ugh!!! i recently moved into a new house with my 2 dogs. one of the neighbors we share a fence with has these 3 yappy a*s chihuahuas and they are driving me crazy!! my dogs aren't big barkers, but every time these chihuahuas come out they just bark constantly, making my dogs and every other dog in the neighborhood start barking, and my dogs get excited and i'm scared they might start trying to dig under the fence, etc.... the lady that lives there recently lost her husband and daughter in a freak accident being washed away by a waterfall in hawaii... she has enough stress and trauma in her life as it is and i do not want to put any more problems on her but i can't deal with those dogs! any suggestions?...

Offer to walk her dogs for her?

Really your only legal recourse is to complain. And if you complain too much, she will be fined.

If you want to help her, you can suggest she exercise her dogs more, as tired dogs do not yap, or you can offer to walk the dogs, or find a neighbor kid to help her out. Just put it nicely and if she does nothing, then complain.

wow that would drive me crazy too!! What i would do, is talk to the neighbor, extremely politely though, and let her know that her dogs are being really loud. Maybe she doesn't realize after everything she's been through, or a lot of the times dog owners like the way their own dog sounds haha its kind of like people with kids running around, the parents think its cute but everyone else thinks its annoying ;)

Call animal control and tell them the chi's are creating a disturbance in the neighborhood.

get out a hose and spray them everytime they bark. your dogs too. my mom did that and our neighbor's dogs don't bark and either do our dogs. although in winter that might be too cold. oh well!
