I think i might have a kidney stone, what do you think?

I keep getting what I thought was repetitive cystitis. A couple of weeks ago I was in severe pain I my back and bladder to the point where I ended up in A&E. They still said that it was a UTI.

I had pain passing urine again at the weekend so I went to the doctors yesterday and he recommended an ultrasound.

But now I am getting a pretty bad pain in my right groin and I don't think I can wait for the hospital to call to make the appointment?

Any ideas?

Update:

There isn't any blood in my urine but it is very cloudy? My mum had them and the pain got too bareable for her and she passed out so I have that to look forward to ha!

Update 2:

unbearable oops

i get UTIs really bad. Within one hour of starting i usually am peeing blood (lots of ) when i had this really bad i was put on the list for investigation (still waiting) i have these once a month.

If you have kidney stones then yes this is really painful and a ultrasound will confirmt his, usually they like to wait and see if you pass it naturally otherwise they tend to do laser surgery to break up the stones to help them pass. Must say that they keep you in hospital while they decide what to do, they dont usually let you go more then 48 hours before intervening because noramlly you would have had them a good day or two before you went somewhere in pain.

hope this helps and that you get sorted out, i know only too well how painful it is

Sounds like it could be a kidney stone to me. I have had a few. Are you seeing any blood in your urine? One of 2 things will normally happen. You will pass it yourself when you least expect it, or the pain will get so bad you can't tolerate it and you will go to the emergency room asking them to give you pain medication. If you can't pass it on your own, they will either go in and get it with the basket procedure or they can sometimes bust it up into smaller pieces with the ultrasound and then you may pass it on your own. The pain can reach a point where you can not take it any longer. Good thing is, it normally is not life threatened but you will surely find your level of pain tolerance.

    Good luck with it.

I'd recommend you run to the doctor right away whatever it might be.

Cause o man,...It hurts so bad...

I was pissin one morning and the urine was a bit red, which I can assume now that it was blood, and it hurt like a Beeeyatch!!!

Then I found this little crystal ball looking rock and I thought I was superman or something...until years later when my friends laughed their butts off and told me it's called Kidney Stone.

I'll just say, it hurts so bad, you can't even cry or scream. It just hurts that bad...

IDK, maybe for a girl it might not hurt so bad,... but for a guy, and through his penis a small ball looking crystal .....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I don't even wanna imagine again.

Go back to your doctor or go to A & E. Kidney stones are one of the most painful things you can have... and aren't worth mucking around with. If it is a UTI, then you will need to be given antibiotics.

Ultra sound is the best remedy. Now a days stone in kidney is removed by ultrasound without any surgery. But if you are not suffering form high level of sugar, B.P. and not obese, you may flush it out by drinking lot of Beer.
