Poised for a comeback?

Does the rain delay favor the Rays? I think momentum is on their side.

If this series goes back to the Trop do the Rays win the series?

Update:

dead center - if anyone is capable it's my mom!

Update 2:

chahchah g - You remember what the Rays did to Lester and Dice K the second time around?

Update 3:

Cameron - The Rays will welcome seeing Hamels 3 times that means they're back in this Series.

For nearly the entire World Series, the Rays have looked more like the 2007 Rays than this season's ballclub in all due respect. I know every Rays fan and commentator alive is claiming a moral victory and a momentum swing since they tied it up, but I'm not buying it. Whatever momentum they had started to build was eliminated when the game was called due to weather. In fact, I believe that worked out better for Philly than Tampa. Pena FINALLY gets a hit and Longoria FINALLY gets a hit and then the game is tied. I am still not convinced the Rays have woken up from their slumber yet. Lets face it, the Rays are in a hole and the pressure is intense (whether they admit it or not). The Phillies are very good in tight ballgames with a better bullpen and they are at home. So to sum it all up, advantage Phillies. This delay has helped them in many ways. Even if Tampa pulls this one off, they are still going to be facing Cole Hamels again and possibly a boatload of other pitchers who are not giving the Rays much to hit.

The hesitation to delay the game favored the Rays. However, the Phillies have the advantage tonight. The Phillies are at home and have 12 outs left, while the Rays have 9. The fact the Phillies have more chances then the Rays give them the edge since the score is even.

Momentum is on their side? They're down three games to one...they have to be worried sick. This rain delay definitely benefits the Phillies. They are the more veteran team and have homefield advantage when, and if, they game every gets played.

Besides, even if the Rays win, this delay is making it more and more likely that Hamels could pitch in game seven if necessary.

it favors the rays because now the rays get a day off and time to gain momentum while philly starts to lose theirs

THis favors the phils more. THe bullpen has been great the entire series. and if big ryan howard gets hot in the game the rays are toast.

If Tampa pulls this off tonight, the Phillies are in trouble
