How do you say end or stop in Arabic?

My boyfriend always says "halast" to me saying it means like end or stop doing something. I don't know how it's spelled just how he pronounces it. Is that even close? Also how would I say wait or hold on in Arabic?

    it's khalass which mean more like enough.u can say ntar shway for wait a little bit.or tawwel balak to say have some patience

    Well in arabic you wont find Khalas in a Dictionary but u can use it.
