Chiropractic alignment ?

I'm wondering if this sounds like an alignment issue.

I was hit on the head by the leaf of a heavy event table, while setting it up at work. At first my head hurt and I felt dizzy and nauseated. Then after a few moments, that subsided, and I began to have sensations in my upper back.

It felt like a prickly, pins and needles sensation traveling down the upper right side of my back.

Then I began to have a pressure feeling, as if someone was pushing down on the top of my spine.

That was accompanied by a pressure feeling, as if there was a muscle mass in the right side of my back that was very tender, like sore, and it was as if it was being pressed upon.

Later, that subsided, and it's been 3 or 4 days.

Now I've been feeling the need to push my chest out to align something, and when I do, something pops. Then it feels better, but it goes right back after a while. After a few times of doing this, I feel swelling and tenderness through the left side of my upper back.

Yesterday, I began to feel pins and needles, just for a few second though, in the front- between my pelvis and thigh area and at the same time, in my left foot.

I'm guessing something is out of alignment, and is pressing on a nerve, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone is familiar with this.

I've already filed a report and I'm about to tell them today, that I need my papers to go see a doctor, but I guess I just wanted to see if anyone here can identify with these symptoms. And give me any helpful hints as to what could be the problem. My sister is a massage therapist, and she would probably know, but she's not answering her phone. I guess she's busy with work.

Any help please? Thank you so much! You guys are the best :)

I've been through lots of back issues over the last 20 years and have lots of reservations regarding Chiropractic "doctors". If you have a serious issue then they can make it much worse with the manipulation they do to "realign" you. I would advise going to some sort of spine specialist. In particular, a neurologist that specializes in the spine. The tingling, pins and needles and pain traveling along your body would be similar to sensations I have felt with disc injury. You'll probably need an MRI if you haven't had one recently. The soreness you feel may be your muscles trying to protect injured disc areas. If you need a referral you should ask your general practitioner for advice. Good luck.
