Are we going into a Depression? Why or why not?

We are not going into a depression. Things are not as bad as the liberal media would have you believe. They are nowhere near as bad as the mess that Jimmy Carter got us into in the late 70's and that was not a depression and we did recover. Inflation was 15%, unemployment was 10%, mortgages were 18%. Gas was cheaper, but you couldn't find it. Things are not good right now. But they are not that bad. Like Jimmy Carter before him, Barack Obama promises to make things worse with his hair-brained ideas and socialistic leanings. But also like Jimmy Carter before him we will throw him out of office after but one term and not let another Democrat in for a long, long time after that.

  • It depends on who wins this election.

We are just in a recessionary period at the present time. There are no indications that we are headed towards a depression. If we did, it would be a Global depression. We would not be alone.

This is neither a republican or democratic problem, it is the whole bunch of our legislators as people from both parties have tried to bring up the problem in the past and were "shot down" by the Committee Heads in both the Senate and the House.
