Should Yahoo learn to spell British English?

I am so sick with the suggestions to spell 'centre' as 'center' and the thought of leaving my u's in colour and neighbour at the door..

Totally cos we speak better English, innit? ;)

  • My spell check, spells in English, although I rarely use it,I learned to spell in English,I write in English and I certainly like to read English! I do find some of the incorrect spellings I see on here quite amusing sometimes. However,I`m not fond of seeing Americanisms in the written word on the UK & Ireland Yahoo Answers.

I don't know about Yahoo but I would like to understand more of the words especially when there directed towards me

I do not like laughing at a English remark when it is directed at me to be the fool it seems as though American english is pretty point blank you are either a Friend or a Critic and our slang words are fairly informed to that regard."May our British Brothers in Arms Live Long and Proper":::))))

It is American isn't it?! Now everything makes sense... I've just been blindly changing my spellings because that silly little pencil top tells me to. For shame.

Yes it's annoying. All the questions posted on UK and Ireland Answers that are very specific about American things is annoying too.

    they're so US English-centric!

What they should do is get everyone a "localized" spell checker. Or some advanced options to personalize it.
