I am just wondering if anyone has any advice as to a specific type/brand of yogurt that would be good to eat daily to help prevent yeast infections?

onken do a yogurt with bio in it, the best one is with the wheat germs, but ya can eat the ones without for the same effect, also you can have them actimel things, or equivalent to them, the good bacteria help to stop the yeast infections
its not a myth it does work, i have to do this myself i always suffered from them,
a few good tips to also help, if you wear thongs wear them a size bigger han you need to stop them rubbing a sweating, or stop wearing them altogether, wear loose cotton knickers when poss, and wear nighties to bed without underwear, the air helps to stop infection, when you bathe, put a little warm water in a bowl, with a little salt and splash 'down there' to kill any infection before it flares up, i do all these and have never had an infection for yrs

You can eat whatever one you like best. However, if an infection comes up and you want to use it as a cream, only use plain no sugar added yogurt. Most yogurts come with live cultures, but make sure it has that too (the cultures will eat the yeast hooray!)

no myth - it's true that 'live' yoghurt helps prevent yeast infections. Also, take acidophyllis (spelling may need checking!) from health food stores - will restore the balance of bacteria in the gut.

As far as I know, the brand really doesn't matter. Just as long as you eat yogurt! I personally like Dannon fruit on the bottom, Activia, and Breyers best. Activia is good if you have digestive problems too!

any brand with live cultures should help. I personally like the flavors of Weight Watchers,

i would suggest anything with no sugar in it. sugar helps yeast grow. i just take probotic pills and that works great! or acidophilus pills
