Having an odd driving dream?
The last two weeks I keep having the same short dream. I am at a stop light, and about 10 feet from the car in front of me. My foot is off the brake and I am slowly rolling toward the car in front. My foot is stuck under a piece of cloth and I can't lift it to the brake. I am so afraid I will hit the car, but just before I do, I finally able to stop the car. Any input would be appreciated.

I'd say you're on a path that you know won't end well... but you'll also be able to stop the situation. You'll keep having the dream until you acknowledge what that situation is.

I've discovered that we are our own best dream interpreters..if we use the right tools and approach it from the perspective of thinking less about symbolism ..and more about the emotions involved.
Dreams serve several functions.
During sleep, the day's activities are "processed" and we unwind, or our subconscious fears and worries or concerns are active and even though consciously suppressed, will present themselves to us in sometimes bizarre images.
Sometimes dreams are a release from anxiety, other times they're a way our brains process where to store things so that they don't continue to cause us grief.
Try to think of something either in your past or present that is unresolved...that makes you FEEL the same ways that you felt in that dream. Think about what you're doing. You're at a stop..or pause .. you've halted or interrupted something, but yet it's moving forward without your permission or control...you are trying to stop whatever it is..but are powerless to do so and you fear what will happen if you don't. You feel relief when you finally regain control. That's sort of what I see in that dream., you're either reliving or trying to figure out how to resolve some issue of concern.

maybe it's a battle between two sides of your personality- one side is telling you to trust your impulse, and walk on the wild side- rolling toward the car in front of you though you know you shouldn't, and that part is struggling for control over your mind with the other secure, responsible part of you, that is binded my your wildside- like how your foot is bound to the brakes by the cloth. but in the end, your are still responsible and stop the car, and the responsible side wins.

i have dreams like that too once in a while, i ll be going down hill and no matter how hard i push down the brakes the car doesn't slow down fast enough, you prolly just have something on your mind that you keep putting off

Maybe you seem to be worried about something last minute. A project that you haven't finished yet that is due soon, or another approaching deadline.

i couldn't get any info on that from my dream dictionary.
anyway, my thinking is you are holding back on something you know is not yours or doesn't belong to you . You just want it so bad....lol
it's ok, let go. there is always something better.

This is simple: Make sure you can wiggle your feet, outside the blankets, before you fall asleep.
