I'm multilingual, or a polyglot if you wish. I think in all the languages I speak in, which happens to be a lot of them! I also write a bit in many of them. When I was just bilingual, I thought in both English and Spanish, English being my native tongue. A plus tard mon amie, which is see you later my friend, in French! Pahkah, which is Russian for Bye!

You would normally speak in and think in the language that you first learned. Say someone grew up speaking English but learned how to speak Spanish really good later on, then they'd most likely speak and think in English and then use the Spanish whenever it is necessary. If someone grew up knowing two languages, then they'd probably speak and think in the language that most people speak around them.

We actually had this discussion last semester with my Spanish instructor. She was telling us how you comprehend the words said but you must change them to your primary language when you learn it. She said after several years of doing this one day she was in Spain and was dialing a phone number and mentally thought it out in Spanish. This was a persona achievement for her and she was very excited but I do not know if this applies to everyone or not.
