Have you started to plan your Holiday recipes already ? ?

For my family we have both the traditional recipes that are required by one family member or another and new attempts. This way you can have the old favourites while finding new ones.

Another thing that we really enjoy is the Taste Challenge. For one or two items we ask different people to find a recipe for the same item and try it out. Some times we'll even do a "blind tasting" for fun.

Beyond that we don't do much planning but I do know of one friend who makes everything one weekend and he makes it like a social gathering thing.

I prefer tradition. I'm using my same recipes again -- largely because folks keep asking for them. Get a good one or two and stick with them.
