Does yahoo ever send an email for account information to be verified?
THe email I got said that my email would be closed if I did not respond to the email with my username, assword and date of birth. I don't want my account closed in 7 days like it said but I also don't want to give this information. Is this legit?

Absolutely not. That's a phishing email. Don't reply to the message and give out your personal information to total strangers. Remember that Y! doesn't send unsolicited emails to all its users, as the company already has that stored in its well-secured servers. Go report the message here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/ab...
Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on.
After that, turn around and get the message spammed straight into oblivion-without delay.

No! It's a scam. If you're being asked for any personal, identifying information in an email... it's a scam! (You don't write to Yahoo! here.)

no they can't do that if you use your account because they already have that info. if you don't use it in maybe six months then they e-mail you and say that if you are done with the website then they would like to close your account only if you e-mail back and say it is OK but they can't force you t do that. YOU HAVE BEEN SPAMMED!!!

They only send an e-mail saying click here to verify. They never ask for information.

No. No company does. It's a phishing scam. Forward it (enable all headers first) to abuse@yahoo.com
