Sorry to correct you but the ALP is actually the Australian Labor Party not the Australian Liberal Party.

John Howard was the Leader of the Liberals but Kevin Rudd is leader of the ALP, Australian Labor Party.

howard knew it was his last term, so he decided to help out his big business friends. since he had control of the senate, there was no discussion with the opposition, no debating, he just jammed through whatever he wanted, including workchoices, which is as popular as a fart on an elevator. then, surprise surprise, he gets voted out, they need a new leader, costello is whistling and looking the other way, everyone else just got voted out of office, so they give it to ... brendan nelson??? who, instead of delivering a roaring address about the future, goes to water and starts crying. nelson is a deadset stain. the only way he would get my vote is on big brother. he's a decrepit weasel who has no backbone. at least malcolm turnbull is a man.
