Does anyone have 1st birthday ideas?

Please share ideas for a 1 year old boys birthday. Attendance would primarily be adults. Probably 2 - 4 other infants between 4-8 months of age.

We are currently thinking Rock Band party, as my son loves the drums, or going old school and just having a lunch at mcdonalds etc.

any ideas that work with infants are welcome.

Update:

My son doesn't watch much TV so he doesn't really love any TV characters.

Mostly he loves to bang on my rock band drum kit, and we bought him his own drum with little drum sticks.

Simple is best. A kid who's only 12 months old won't have a clue about what this is all about, and the change in routine may upset him. Keep it small, keep it low key. A picnic in the back yard or a park is good if the weather allows. Otherwise, have the friends over, and have a nice dinner, but forget candles, streamers, noise makers, etc. You can have a cake if you want, but expect your son to wear it as much as eat it.

The rock band party sounds fun! For my boys 1st b-day (also primarily adults), we did the tradition b-day. Lunch for the adults consisted of hot dogs and crock pots of chili and cheese. I think the most important part was the cake. The first time they had anything sweet, other than fruit. Maybe get him his own small round cake to dig in to with his hands and a regular sheet cake for everyone else to eat...that's about the only suggestion I can think of...

I have been given her a splash tiara and particular 'chuffed 1st B-day' bib to positioned on for while she dug into her cupcake. each little thing became quite and girlie yet no longer over the suitable with a topic matter. a splash chum of hers had a princess party some months in the past and it became large. The birthday female wore a tiara, birthday/princess shirt, a tutu and tights (sooo amazing). there have been pb&j sandwiches minimize out in the form of tiaras and princess shoes, all the decorations had the princess subject matter, there became a splash girlie table for the ladies to coach makeup and nail polish, and there became even a face painter to beautify the youngsters faces. have relaxing making plans the party! the sturdy information is which you will no longer rather go incorrect. Honestly I think you can easily over do it with a 1 yr old b-day party I used to be a nanny I through the baby I watched (boy) and lil party with his favorite of course Sponge Bob decorations I think you should decorate for him what he likes and make him a simple little cake I made cupcakes so it was easier to eat for the little ones...that was the first time he had cake and LOVED it! I think something basic like that with hamburgers and chips for the adults would be very appropriate
